Yesterday Geo and I decided to do something different. By that we mean road tripping to Villaba* under the worst driving conditions in Puerto Rico ( heavy rain, wind and thick fog). We were invited to two parties there and since we are trying to do stuff outside our normal beach-pizza Saturday we embarked in a mini adventure. First it was our newlywed Alba, who thank God, we met there caravan by default in a gas station. I have respect for the woman. The insanest turns in history are on Alba's way to her house. Geo obsessing about falling into the void didn't help. But as always, Alba's ( and now Alex's)family is divine and makes it worthwhile.
Cue to our next party, Tony's, and getting there was better( although our greates fear happened-it got dark). But it's so refreshing to stop and asking for instructions to the locals without the fear of getting mobbed, raped or kidnapped like we have in San Juan. We got there and it was packed!!! Many old friends were there. And if you know Tony, you know we are always having a good time. A shoutout to my sweet friend Lucille, who got engaged on New Years ( something is in the air I guess). My offer of useless information still stands.
At the end of 151 miles we were back safely in San Juan and with stuff to tell...Thanks to Alba and Tony for a great time. See you next year!

*Ironically my family's background on my Mom's side are from lovely Villalba
