Meet Sonny Caberwal, who is believed to be the world's only Sikh professional model. Caberwal was discovered by American designer, Kenneth Cole, who was looking for a turbaned man for their 25th anniversary campaign, but could find no professional Sikh model. At the insistance of his brother in law,some emails later, Caberwal, an IT business developer and who owns a tea company, was on his way to stardom into the fashion world.
Kenneth Cole impressed me with his bold move to feature the much needed diversity the fashion world craves. Mr. Caberwal, totally hot in his own right, may be the person who will open doors to fellows and gals who will break the traditional molds of eastern lame aesthetics.
