My new hero-Jane Aldridge

Meet my new hero, 17-year-old fashion blogger Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes has a deal to sell her own shoes at Urban Outfitters. Three styles will be in stores next month, and three more will debut in December. Keep in mind that this girl just graduated high school and had to wear her traditional Catholic girl uniform ( with a regulatory 1.5 heel). Impecable style and taste for a teen.

Right now she is Tokyo with her cool mom

I think she's selling out

I think my alter ego, Dita von Teese, is selling out. She's adding singer in her resume since signing a record deal with Interscope. She said one song she hopes to cover is Irving Berlin's "Lazy."Apparently she has time to pursue this between tight lacing, bra designing and the Crazy Horse performances in Paris. Not liking this very much...

Dear Kanye

Dear Kanye West:

You know I have a crush on you for the past few months. I know my blog goddess, Tracie Eagan, thinks you are gay. I don't care. I have the highest respect of your bold sense of style. You like pink (not salmon),LV and scarves. But, can you please kill that awful mullet you sported on MTV's Inaugural Ball? You look like Eddy Murphy on Beverly Hills Cop data 1988

Yours truly,

Carla

City Sophisticate

I took a quiz to know my home style and by picking my tastes and preferences, apparently I'm City Sophisticate. This makes total sense b/c I live in the city and my tastes are pretty high end (just ask my wallet, never fails).

So try yourself here and let me know your style

Enjoy!

CITY SOPHISTICATE
You love the variety and bustle of city living and embrace all that modern living has to offer. Your home reflects the way we live our lives today as well as your own personal taste and individuality. It's a clean, easy look that shows off key pieces of furniture and accessories to maximum effect.
Living Room
You have a comfortably contemporary living room. The danger with the 'modern look' is that it too easily falls into the realm of the bland and insipid; 'easy' gets confused with 'careless' and the result is just downright dull! Perhaps of all the rooms in our homes, the living room can be the one that most expresses your sense of style and your interests. Think, too, about how and when you will most use the room. For example, do you want it light and airy or warm and cosy? Against quite an anonymous backdrop you can show off some alluring accessories to great effect that are girly yet grown-up and winningly winsome. Dark colours work well if you use the room mainly during the evenings and at night, while eclectic black and white make for a bold, yet chic statement. There are few things more luxurious than a sneaky afternoon nap, dozing off in your favourite spot in the living room.
Bedroom
Your bedroom has that classic look that never goes out of style. Sleep is fundamentally important to our well being. In busy towns and cities, noise can often hamper a good night's sleep. Soft furnishings really do absorb sound, and touch is such an important sense in the bedroom, from crisp, linen sheets to wool or even sheepskin underfoot. Elegance and relative simplicity are keynotes in your bedroom, using the timeless approach of layering white on white to serene effect.
Dining Room
You're a maverick, blending a melting-pot style that's all your own. At home, the pleasure you take in your 'pick 'n' mix' approach to decorating gives the dining space a 'pot luck' sense of fun. The dining table is the perfect place for you to show off your kaleidoscopic approach to interior design and decoration: cups, saucers, plates and glasses of different colours, shapes and sizes can look vibrant and fun when executed with flair: just don't go overboard or try too hard. When it comes to entertaining, you like to aim for maximum impact with minimum hassle.
Home Office
You have a place for everything and everything has its place. Gone are the days when the home PC was the preserve of nerdy geeks. These days, most of us need a home office: a simple table and chair in one corner of the room with adjustable task lighting and adequate filing is all it takes (and may be all the space you can afford). The modernist adage that form should follow function is nowhere better demonstrated than in the home office: keep things simple and add your own sense of style by using a splash of colour or a single, well-chosen decorative piece.
Conclusion
Your home is modern and quietly confident: just like you!

What will Michelle Obama wear for the Inaugural Ball?

Can't take credit for this post. This was featured on Jezebel.com and it was a challenge for Project Runway designers. There was a twist: The designers could only use Laura Bush’s 2005 Inaugural Ball dress, an American flag, burlap potato sacks and $10 worth of trims of their choice. Check it out for yourself!

Election day is almost over but I can't let this one go. Rachel Zoe, style goddess, wore this assemble to vote. You can never go wrong with a Chanel jacket and vintage YSL scarf

Dita's high arch

Everyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE Dita Von Teese. For those of you who doesn't know, Von Teese is a famous burlesques dancer and is known for her flawless style. She owns two weiner dogs... like me, treats shoes like pieces of art...like me and she's pale... like me (well she looks better, I look sick). Sure, I don't understand she falling and marrying Marilyn Manson. But hey whatever rocks your boat As foot fetishist, please stop and admire a beautiful arch displayed in the pic.

i love this too much of a look

J told today she's sick of Rachel Zoe's style. As a long time fan I have to say that she is making me need a fur vest for my cold days in Puerto Rico. How much do I love this look?

Potential haircut

I've been forever obsessed with celebrity stylist,Rachel Zoe who has a show on Bravo. So, contrary to Georgette's opinion, I love Taylor Jacobsen (Zoe's assistant) style, specially her haircut. So I'm thinking about chopping my hair to spunk my style up. Pics included
