This totally explains it

Perhaps another reason to rent rather than own — women who own their home weigh 12 pounds more on average than women who rent. A study at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School compared 600 women and found that along with weighing more, homeowners were also "carrying around more aggravation, making less time for leisure, and were less likely to spend time with friends."

Working out @ home-an insanity case

Looking for cheap and challenging fitness alternatives, I decided to try P90x. A friend lend me a a copy and after seeing amazing results from three friends, I vowed to do it until I achieved my goal: a skinny bitch. On Monday, I tried the wrong one episode for my program (I'm on the lean program) and had to stop after 30 minutes. This stuff is hard!

Yesterday, I went again with the right episode hoping it was easier.I did the core and let me tell you it was as hard as the one on Monday. Quick fact about me: I have never been an upper strength person. To me a push ups or planks are hell. So, can you guess what is the main core workout position is? you guess it: push ups and planks with variations!!!.

I'm doing this is my room, since I'm decluttering my guest room for future projects, and Carmela is not happy. She thinks her mom got mad doing all this insane poses. She barks, runs to the kitchen and back, cries, runs back to the kitchen. Looking her reaction, I must look pretty funny doing all this weird stuff.

All in the name of looking good for the big 3-2

The road to more hotness

I haven't post in the past couple of days and frankly I've been too tired to read much of my rss feed (get a subscription, it will save your life-mine is from google). Work has been hell and the lifestyle changes of trying to enhance my eating habits and exercise regime has keep me on my toes. This plan of getting my body hot for my b-day is really exhausting. Tania, my wise sister, tells me 'you know it takes a while to get to where you are right now'. And its true. Ive been guilty of neglecting myself.
We expect to lose 5 pounds the first day of dieting. We swallow magic pills to accelerate the process, but in the end the body just needs two things: moderate what you eat (yes, we CAN eat everything) and move the a**. And even if I have to snap at obnoxious teenagers who tries to steal my spot in Zumba class, I know for a fact that I have more fun and have more style while they struggle miserably in a simple dance routine. All this hard work is a totally selfish act ( well validation from women-not men- helps too*), even if I'm not even going out. I'm getting hooked on endorphins and healthy food and guess what I'm liking it.

*Don't act surprised- if you live in Puerto Rico and hang in the nice places, we could care less about what men like- we dress for the women and gays and you know it

This will help become skinny

I found this website called This is why you're fat. Their logo is were dreams become hear attacks. I think I just saved you $1,200 on Jenny Craig.

(By the way finding a nice picture was the hardest part- I tried to keep this blog visually appealing and their pics are nasty)

Turning Tuesday around

After a crappy work Tuesday, I decided to to turn my day around and go for a run in Torrimar. It was exactly what my body needed and with Geo joining me at the last minute, it was entertaining as well. Trying to compare butts with a lady that was ahead of me, Geo took a picture which turned to be my own Nike "Just Do It" ad.

Later we hung for some homemade food and the impossible happened: Geo loved my baby spinach, campari tomato and raisin salad ( dressed with balsamic and evoo) . Yes, people the Queen of BK liked my greens, like to the verge that she kept stealing it from my plate.

At the end, my Tuesday was crappy but feeling good about myself and watching in awe Geo devoured green stuff made it better
