Hot for ...

I'm obsessed with fangs. Ed, told me to look forTrue Blood, the new HBO vampire series. Since I have no cable now ( more reading time, more Carmela time, more workout time) it took a while to get to it but I'm happy that I did. Today, Dodai from my fav blog ,Jezebel wrote about the series, which has become a cult phenomenon in the US, here a quip of the post

Creator
Alan Ball says of True Blood: "Women love the storytelling and the romance, and men love the sex and violence."

Dodai from Jezebel responds: "Dude. The romance is lame. This woman is in it for the hot stuff and the blood, and I know I'm not alone"

I'm becoming a tween

The new Twilight saga movie trailer, New Moon, was previewed last night. It's pretty neat. To see it, do a click here. I actually thinking of caving in and read the series.

Just because we need to see something beautiful

Meet Nathan Trazora a hopeful for So you think you can dance season 5. He is truly magnificent. Watch his audition here and his destiny on the competition.

Forget the vampires.

I'll take the pack of wolves. The picture for the new Twilight, New Moon, was recently released featuring the vampire's new enemies who fight for the chick's heart ( she is so forgetful, right?).

Anyway all the actors had to prove their Native American background in order to be cast and had to ventured the Pacific Northwest cold while filming (no shirts, only jeans). So move over tweens, I'll see you in the ticket line

Inked~

I have the biggest obsession with body art. Tattoos marked by originality and individualism. I salivate when I see people with full tat sleeves. I make people show and explain them to me and who was their artist. It doesn't matter if it is in color or black and white. I glued myself to the first season of LA Ink, and I swear Kat von D is one of the raddest chick on the planet.
Last night I saw my sister's cute neighbor ( and my cute I mean she was 19) sported the most interesting tat on her shoulder blade. I was impressed on how a 19 year old could live with so much depth( pic above). She has a famous quote "actions not words" in Latin, which is an appropriate and mature way to approach your professional, love and friendship relationships.
I have to thank my Mom for her intense disapproval of me doing a tat at a young age ( she vowed to cut me off completely). Probably today I would have look like a cheap grunge poster. I still crave my tat, a small one on my ribcage. Who knows one day, the least expected, i would get home with a bandage with neosporin, instead of a pair of shoes...

To Google ( hey it's free!):

Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir ( say that 3 times!) became Prime Minister of Iceland, and the first openly gay head of government in modern times and of course being Bjork's country as well makes it really H-O-T.

Jon Favreu,Barack Obama's chief speech writer who is only 26!!!!

Favreau was the primary writer of Obama's inauguration address of January 2009. The Guardian describes the process as follows: "The inaugural speech has shuttled between them [Obama and Favreau] four or five times, following an initial hour-long meeting in which the president-elect spoke about his vision for the address, and Favreau took notes on his computer. Favreau then went away and spent weeks on research. His team interviewed historians and speech writers, studied periods of crisis, and listened to past inaugural orations. When ready, he took up residence in a Starbucks in Washington and wrote the first draft.

Ready the go down under with Hugh Jackman

I just came from the Australia Premiere and once again Mr. Jackman stole the show!!!(I'm a Wolverin fan)This epic is a must see for the Holidays. Girls and gays will have an eye fest, very similar to Legends of the Falls in 1994 (a classic Brad Pitt eye fest). Hugh definitely earned the Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine this year. Sorry George, but nothing like a sweaty man on horse and a whip...
