Turning my Monday around

It started with my outfit. The jacket that I have ironed the night before still looked crumbly. I had the worst Monday in months that included a heavy dose of anxiety binge*, ineptitude, lack of professionalism and to top it all off, a nice tension headache. I was mad and frustrated. But on my way home, my day started to get better. After words of encouragement from mom, I get home and voila!: in my mailbox had two new DVD's from Netflix ( I'm on the free trial version) and my new used copy of Booky wook by British hottie, Russell Brand that I bought on a super sale on Amazon. After all that day binge, I was still hungry so I decided to splurge: white rice, white stewed beans, tomato and onion salad and panko breaded tilapia. I went to pick my sis from work and a nice dose of Mia love made it all better. The cherry on the top: I finished The Reader with Kate Winslet and some Carmela cuddling. So how did my Tuesday started? I lost a pound!

Yep, it's Monday

Weekend came and left with many stuff to remember:

• Sis and brother in law went to Miami. Major babysitting time with Mia. How I love that kid is indescribable. Even though she has a strong character like her mom, she is obedient and grateful. She has too much love to give.


• Tanning was great. Crashing at the pool of a five star hotel, awesome.


• Breakfast at alive. Always good. Figured the bakery is the same price, so why not? I was right.


• Faccio Carbonara pizza & Ben and Jerry's Cookies and cream waffle cone. Not exactly part of my diet


• Produce shopping at Costco. Very mature from my part.


• Scoring a cute piece of jewelry for my wrist in a fashion show that I went on Saturday. Cool


• Explaining the benefits of twittering to Mara, one of the most creative people EVER. Super cool.


• Waking up after two hours to babysit. Not cool


• Convincing a two year old to stop trying to go down a 9 feet slide by herself. Not cool at ALL.


• Lazy Sunday. 'nough said. hey that's what weekends are for...
